Google has started rolling out a major update to the Chrome browser. The update brings the Gemini 3 AI assistant directly into Chrome. It adds smarter tools, agent-based browsing, and image creation features.

The goal is simple. Google wants to help users do more on the web with less effort. The new features began rolling out on January 28, 2026.

Google says Gemini in Chrome works like a personal assistant. It helps users search, compare, plan, and complete tasks without leaving their current page.
