Google’s AI chief, Demis Hassabis, has publicly backed a user claim that Gemini 3 Pro outperforms all of OpenAI’s ChatGPT models. The announcement highlights the growing competition in the AI industry.
Joseph Carlson, a host of The Joseph Carlson Show podcast, shared on X on January 6 that he is “literally a top 1% user of ChatGPT in 2025” with a premium account.
Yet, he stated, “Gemini 3.0 Pro is better than any of ChatGPT models. They’re not even close.” He praised Gemini for stronger reasoning, logic, explanations, and more recent data.
Carlson’s post received over 83,000 views and was reshared by Hassabis himself.
