- One-Click Experiments: Test AI Max within Search campaigns. Compare performance by splitting traffic between a control (AI Max off) and a trial (AI Max on). No campaign cloning needed, reducing errors.
- Customizable Controls: Adjust Search term matching at the ad group level or disable Asset optimization at the campaign level. Use URL inclusions/exclusions and brand controls for precision.
- Geographic Targeting: The “locations of interest” feature allows precise location-based targeting at the ad group level.
- Reporting Transparency: View results in the Experiments tab with detailed summaries. Reports include “AI Max” match-type indicators, matched terms, headlines, and landing URLs.
- Auto-Apply Option: Set experiments to auto-apply if results are positive, or manually enable AI Max from Campaign settings post-test.
- Setup Limits: AI Max experiments are not available for campaigns with legacy features (e.g., old ACA text customization), Display Network targeting, Portfolio bid strategies, or Shared budgets.
For now, one-click experiments make it easy to test Google AI Max without overhauling your account. Stay tuned for updates as Google continues to refine this powerful tool.
